The Dream
More than four decades ago, two college graduates in music education began to dream... what would it be like to be coached by the finest instructors in the country, to study with award-winning choreographers and choral directors with both educational and professional experience; and be exposed to vocal coaches who have worked not only in renowned choral programs but also with Broadway performers? What would it be like to have Broadway stars share their experience and expertise? People like Tony Award winner Kristen Chenoweth, Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone and Young Frankenstein) Tony nominee Liz Calloway (Miss Saigon, Cats), Tony nominee Kate Shindle (Legally Blond), Tony nominee Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hair, Book of Mormon). Now include workshops in specific areas of dance, microphone use, auditioning skills, motivational technique, and leadership building, along with many other clinics, and the dream becomes an exciting week-long camp!
Dwight Jordan and Susan Moninger have combined their philosophies and talents as award-winning music educators and entertainment professionals to create Showchoir Camps of America! The camp has become one of the most highly respected of its kind, by combining a non-competitive, positive environment that motivates, challenges and inspires both students and directors.
Dwight and Sue are proud that their efforts have nurtured and inspired the talents of over 40,000 young performers and music educators as they have discovered the invaluable learning opportunities at SCA.
Showchoir Camps of America is an experience that encourages high standards of excellence while having lots of fun with new friends from all across the country.
Find out for yourself, experience the magic of SCA!
